outdoor crane
What should you do if the outdoor crane shakes during operation
Outdoor cranes are often used for lifting work in the construction and decoration industry as well as logistics and warehousing. However, if the outdoor crane shakes during operation, it will inevitably affect the efficiency of our lifting operations, and in severe cases, it may pose certain risks. So let’s talk about how to solve the shaking when using an outdoor crane.
1、 Check whether the motor equipped on the crane is installed tightly and whether the fixing screws are loose. This may cause vibration during the operation of the crane, and there may be varying degrees of vibration between the motor, lifting arm, and lifting wire rope;Solution: Stop the machine and adjust the gap between the motor and the crane without load to reduce friction. Secure and tighten the safety screws to reduce or even eliminate the shaking phenomenon.
2、 Check whether there is any shaking caused by looseness between the lifting arm and the steel wire rope of the outdoor crane. When the steel wire rope is used for a long time or not maintained in a timely manner, it will reduce the load-bearing capacity of the steel wire rope and also reduce its service life;Solution: At this point, we need to check the length and tension of the steel wire rope before stopping the machine, and then check whether the transmission components of the crane are running smoothly and whether lubricating oil needs to be added.
3、 Check whether the various components of the motor are shaking due to inadequate lubrication. The motor is the root cause of lifting goods with a crane. If the lubrication of the various components of the motor is not in place, it can also cause motor shaking;
Solution: Check the lubricating components such as the motor gear set and bearings. If they are severely worn, replace them with new ones and apply lubricating grease for maintenance;
4、 The most likely scenario is overloading the lifting of goods. If the weight of the lifted object exceeds the rated lifting capacity of the motor, it may cause the motor to fail to reach its lifting capacity and experience shaking;
